JAKE QUICKENDEN COOKS UP A STORM IN MASTERCHEF KITCHEN

Jake Quickenden was “excited but nervous” to appear on the 2024 series of Celebrity Masterchef.

The singer said he went on the show for “a new challenge” as his cooking skills were “basic” and wasn’t something that “came naturally.”

He said: “My wife Sophie is the better cook, put it that way! I mostly rely on an air fryer, often throwing meals together that I’ve always known so I’m not very adventurous! I love that the show pushes you out of your comfort zone with cooking things you wouldn’t normally!”

However despite impressing judges Gregg WAllace and John Torode in previous rounds, Jake was eliminated after reaching the semi finals where the celebrities cooked for actors at a Viking reenactment site in the South Downs National Park in Hampshire.

Speaking of his exit, Jake said: "It is disappointing that I'm leaving because I was having such a good time.

"It was much more challenging than I ever thought, but I got to cook in a restaurant. I got to feed some Vikings. I've had a right laugh, so I'm really happy."
