TASHA GHOURI LANDS ‘DREAM’ ROLE ON STRICTLY COME DANCING

Tasha Ghouri says she burst into tears after learning she had landed a spot in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line up.

The former Love Island star, who will be the show’s second deaf contestant following in the footsteps of Rose Ayling-Ellis, has been partnered with Aljaž Škorjanec.

Recalling the moment she found out she was part of the 2024 celebrity line up, Tasha said, “I broke down when my management told me. I actually cried, I didn’t believe it at first. I said: ‘No, you’re pranking me!’ I was sitting next to Andrew in the living room with our dog Luna on the sofa. It was the perfect moment to find out. I was just so happy and speechless.”

Tasha said it was a “dream come true” and that she’d be manifesting a spot on the role for over a year. She added: “It is definitely something I’ve dreamed of, so to actually be doing it is mind-blowing. I feel like it’s not fully kicked in yet.

“I’ve been [writing the notes] since February 2023 as a manifestation, and it must have worked!”
