My Mum, Your Dad stars Janey Smith and Roger Hawes appeared on Lorraine to promote the new series.

The couple, who are the only success story from series one of the popular ITV1 show, opened up about their life together a year on, as well as their advice for the second series contestants.

Looking back on their time on the show, Janey said: ‘We never thought we’d meet each other, it was a crazy environment but when you meet the right person it is natural, it’s effortless and that’s how it should be. The whole year has been the same.’

Giving his tips to the new batch of singletons, Roger said ‘Just be yourselves - you don’t want to look back and think you were not your best version. And you might be lucky to meet a lovely lady, like me!’
